Організаційний комітет міжнародної конференції VELOFORUM оголошує про відбір приймаючого міста для проведення 13-ї конференції у жовтні 2021 року. Прийом заявок від міст-кандидатів відкритий до 1 липня 2020 року.
International Conference Veloforum 2019 in Vinnitsa on October 4-6 gathered over 200 participants and experts from 5 different countries (Denmark, Germany, Belarus, Latvia, Azerbaijan) and 30 cities of Ukraine. Conference main topic: ‘Cycling Economy – an Effect of Bicycle Transport on Urban Economy’.
During the three days at Veloforum 2019 there were lectures, presentations of researches, discussions, workshops, excursions, coffee with expert sessions, poster exhibition, parties and award ceremony of the Bicycle Employer 2019 competition in Vinnitsa. The conference program is available on the webpage and in the Eventssion mobile application.
“This is the 11th Veloforum in Ukraine, which we have organized together with our local partners. Each Veloforum enables representatives and representatives of local authorities, businesses and the public sector to learn, get acquainted and unite in order to make the bicycle safe and comfortable transport, and Ukrainian cities comfortable for people. This is our contribution to transport policy, civil society development and sustainable local development, ”said Anastasia Makarenko, Director of U-Cycle (Kyiv Cyclist’s Association).
The organizers of Veloforum 2019 are U-Cycle (NGO “Association of Cyclists of Kiev”), NGO “VeloVinnytsia”, Institute for Urban Development and Vinnytsia City Council. The event’s general partner is Glovoapp Ukraine. Veloforum 2019 was supported by the Representation of the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Ukraine, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Ukraine and the Swiss Confederation. In 2020, Veloforum will be held in Uzhgorod as part of the cross-border project “Bike AcceNT: Bike Access Unites Territories”.

We will remind, in previous years the conference was accepted by Ivano-Frankivsk, Nikolaev, Kharkov, Kryvyi Rih, Lviv, Poltava, Yevpatoria, Kiev, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lutsk.

Veloforum Returns!
October 4-6 in Vinnytsia we will learn, share experiences, network, practice, inspire and, of course, hang out!
“Veloforum” is an inter-sectoral conference which includes spheres of transport policy, sustainable local development and civil society. The main target groups of the conference are activists of the public sector, representatives of local authorities, specialists in city planning and transport infrastructure, students.
The theme of this year’s Veloforum: “Velonomy – the impact of cycling on the urban economy”. We invite experts, activists and interested persons to visit the event.
In 2018, the 10th Veloforum Forum was held in Ivano-Frankivsk, which gathered more than 170 participants and speakers from 8 countries. 54 settlements of Ukraine were represented. In previous years, the conference was hosted by Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kryvy Rih, Lviv, Poltava, Evpatoria, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lutsk.
The organizers of “Veloforum” in 2019 are U-Cycle (NGO “Kyiv cyclists’ association”) and Vinnytsia city council.
